Private Snowboard Lessons in Zermatt

For riders seeking confidence, flow, and a deeper connection to the mountain.

As the only core snowboard school in Zermatt and Cervinia, Latitude 46's certified instructors draw on over two decades of experience in Switzerland's top resorts to help riders of all levels find their rhythm on the mountain — whether taking the first tentative steps or refining advanced freestyle and carving techniques. Our teaching philosophy is built on a simple goal: to share snowboarding in the easiest, safest, and most enjoyable way possible. Lessons run as half-day, full-day, or unlimited private sessions, for groups of one to four.
What a private lesson with Latitude 46 is built around
Every lesson is tailored to your pace and goals, focusing on the fundamentals that define your journey or the technical precision needed for expressive riding. Beyond technique, Latitude 46 prioritises the joy of the experience — celebrating every breakthrough, flawlessly linked turn, and moment of quiet pride. The aim is that you leave the mountain not only with improved skills, but with a genuine sense of accomplishment and the stoke to keep riding.
How Latitude 46 teaches — and why it's different
Latitude 46's approach revolves around listening and observing. Every rider arrives with unique needs, abilities, and a specific state of mind — even the best athletes have tough days — so the instructor adapts to where you are in that moment, not where a textbook says you should be. Above all, Latitude 46 emphasises staying present and relaxed: snowboarding should never feel like a chore. It's about flow, fun, and the occasional face-shot of powder. The goal is always to leave riders feeling supported, challenged, and excited.
Safe Progression
We avoid “sink or swim” moments. We’ll literally walk beside you, softening your falls and ensuring you understand the biomechanics of your board and body.

Building Intuition
Through tailored exercises, we help you find your unique style so you’re not just mimicking movements, but feeling them.

Respecting the Mountain
Snowboarding is as much about challenging oneself as it is about respecting one’s limitations—and the mountain. We won’t send you down a run until you are truly ready to own it.
What a lesson looks like, from start to finish
Latitude 46 believes snowboarding is best learned one-on-one. While small groups of friends or family are welcome, lessons focus on private, single-rider sessions — so every minute on the mountain is tailored to you, your goals, and your pace. Sessions are built around what you need to progress and, most importantly, to enjoy the ride.

A day kicks off by meeting at your preferred location and chatting about your goals. Then you head up for a warm-up before diving into personalised exercises. Latitude 46 captures video throughout so you can review your progress together, and wraps up with a quick recap and next steps you can keep working on long after the trip.
There's something special about the first turns — which is why Latitude 46 makes your introduction as smooth as possible. You start with the very basics: finding the right rental setup, getting to know your gear, and understanding how everything works together. Then you hit the snow, with step-by-step guidance on turning, stopping, and riding the lift — no overwhelming jargon. The goal is that you feel comfortable on the slopes by the end of the session, excited to learn more, with a solid foundation to build on. The little victories get celebrated, because those first successes are what open the whole world of snowboarding.
