Overview
Preá is a dedicated kite village driven by relentless, consistent wind. Stretching over 15km, this massive beach offers huge shallow flats at low tide that act as a natural, open-air classroom for riders of all levels. From July to February, the trade winds pump steadily at 20–35 knots with a perfect side-onshore direction, meaning you get plenty of power without the exhausting struggle to ride back upwind. There are no tourist distractions or cobblestone streets here—just a buzzing community, wide-open space, and some of the most reliable conditions in Brazil to dial in your skills.

Methodology
Our teaching philosophy is built on a simple vision: true freedom on the water comes from competence. This means we work exclusively with IKO-certified, English-speaking instructors who have deep local knowledge of the spots. It also means that, instead of rushing you to stand up, we ensure you master the essentials first—like correct rigging, safe launching, upwind body-dragging, and self-rescue—shaping the foundation that allows you to learn faster and with confidence.
To ensure these skills stick, we try to keep a maximum ratio of 2 students per instructor in the water, adapting to each rider’s learning curve. Sessions usually last a total of 4 hours, split across the day, focusing partly on safety procedures, theory, and gear management and partly on practical riding, water starts, and progression. This balanced approach ensures you don’t just “try” kitesurfing for a week—you become a capable, independent rider ready to enjoy the sport safely for years to come.

When it comes to the day-to-day, we favor an approach that is fluid and responsive to nature over rigid itineraries.
Our driver greets you at Fortaleza airport and takes you to your accommodation. In the morning, you meet your instructor and join a comprehensive briefing to discuss safety, gear, personal goals, and double-check the plan for the coming days, so you know what to expect and can focus on learning from day one.
In Brazil, the trade winds dictate the rhythm, often picking up around noon and blowing until sunset. We adapt our lesson times to these natural cycles, heading out only when conditions are ideal for your level. Your day blends theory, beach drills, and water practice, prioritizing quality over quantity. If the wind doesn’t show, we pivot to land-based drills or video analysis; if conditions are unsafe, we reschedule or reimburse those hours.
You are never left to figure it out alone. Our daily program is carefully split: roughly 2 hours for safety procedures and gear management, and 2 hours for riding and progression. This balance ensures you master the essentials before tackling more advanced maneuvers. By the end of your retreat, you will be an independent rider who understands the ocean, respects the wind, and can handle yourself confidently on the water.
